Update on ebay Meadows painting on ebay
Got an email last night saying that the seller realised that purchasers thought it was an original went the bidding went over $500. After the auction, the seller contacted the winner who then refused it. It is back on sale again.

Blimey - Meadows Print went for $1,701.00!
I happened to notice that a Meadows picture (must be a print) went for $1.7k on ebay!! The auction has just finished, but I'm digging out more info from the seller... more soon.
We know that that this painting has been printed before in 1950s in Northern England (from memory). Arthur found it a copy in a junk shop in Sonoma County, California in November 1999 - and it is currently stored at Mum & Dad's in Liverpool (much to their irritation!).
BUT this print is a slightly different shape than Arthur's - intriguing.
There's some more information at the bottom of the ebay page.

Log Raft on the River
The painting measures 35.6 x 44.5 cm (14 x 17 1/2 inches). It has been lined and there are a few tiny spots of touching in, but overall it is in very good condition and it is a lovely picture.
